Valley Voters React To Obama Being Nominated
Its official, Barack Obama has been nominated to take the presidential nomination of a major party.Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is asking democrats to unite as a whole at this year's Democratic National Convention in Denver, CO., as she herself casted a ballot for her former rival.Clinton told the convention crowd that they arrived in Denver on different paths. And as Clinton released her delegates after a partial role call vote, she hopes they can unite.Ohio Valley voters told NEWS9 that they support her decision and the nomination of Sen. Obama."She did a good think, quit the squabbling and get on," said Aaron Meeker of Steubenville. While others would like to see a woman in office, one voter said she won't be supporting Obama or Clinton's decision."I think it would be great to see an African-American in office but he won't have my vote because I'm a prolife Christian," said Angie Styczenski.Senator Barack Obama formal acceptance speech will be Thursday night in Denver where some say nearly 75,000 people could attend on the last day of the convention.
