Benwood Halloween Museum Boasts Huge Collection Of Artifacts

Visit our special Halloween section for trick-or-treat times, party ideas and more.

In one corner of Marshall County, every day is Halloween.

Pamela Apkarian-Russell and her husband, Chris, bought an old school building in Benwood five years ago that they've since turned into the Castle Halloween Museum.

The museum hosts Pamela's huge collection of Halloween-related art and artifacts, some of which date from the 18th century.

She has more than 1,000 Halloween costumes, along with toys, games, paintings, record albums and even rare Victorian-era mourning jewelry that people fashioned out of the hair of deceased loved ones.

The museum is open year-round, but tours have to be scheduled in advance.
