On February 16, 2013 Camp Bow Wow and the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society are teaming up for the 6th Annual Canines and Cupids Casino Night benefit. Cupids and Canines is Camp Bow Wow's (including all locations from the greater Pittsburgh area) main charitable effort to raise funds for their Bow Wow Buddies Foundation and the Humane Society. The mission of the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation is to promote the health and welfare of animals worldwide by focusing on finding foster and lifetime homes for unwanted pets, promoting humane education and treatment, and investing in research and treatment for pets devastated by illness and disease. The Humane Society's mission is to prevent cruelty to animals by enforcing all laws designated for the protection of animals through the enforcement of all laws, to secure the arrest and conviction of all persons violating such laws, to promote responsible pet ownership, to maintain an open-door policy of accepting all animals surrendered by the public, and to place all adoptable animals into adoptable homes. Last year we raised more than $15,000. Our goal is to raise a significantly higher amount in order to further help our four-legged friends. To help achieve our goal, Lisa McNamara, owner of MCN Salon on Penn Circle South in Pittsburgh, will be dedicating her time to be our first ever Chair Person. Lisa will help us to raise the efforts throughout our community while spreading the importance of animal advocacy. The festivities will take place at Cefalo's Restaurant and Lounge with great food, live music and casino games from 7:30 to 11:00 PM. Come join us for a fun night while supporting our benefit.
