Edison High has joined the campaign of “Going Green." During the morning announcements, going green tips have been given each day. These tips are designed to make the students more aware of the need to protect the environment. In an effort to draw attention to cutting down on paper consumption, one of the tips was about reusable lunch bags as opposed to paper bags. Another tip involved the age old question: Paper or plastic?Mrs. O’Donnell’s OEP class has been recycling paper as well. The OEP students have been recycling for over the past three years. Another recycling project involves Mrs. Paree’s art classes. The students have been recycling ceramic/glass tiles and mirrors by making them into mural countertops.Other classes will be continuing with the “Going Green” challenge at E.H.S. More information on this project will be forthcoming.- Macy McMaster, Media Communications @EHS
