East Liverpool's City Sweep In Motion
With representatives from 12 organizations showing support, East Liverpool Mayor Jim Swoger launched the city's annual environmental project during a news conference on Friday.A collection of household wastes and used motor oil will take place April 19 at the Heritage-WTI facility in the city's East End between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.Like in the past, the event if free of charge, but identification is required for the event.Since its creation in 1997, company volunteers have recycled and disposed of more than 34 tons of household chemicals that otherwise would have been tossed in the trash or dumped in the drain.
