Camp Fire USA Announces Annual Adopt-A-Highway, Earth Clean-Up Day

Camp Fire USA Upper Appalachian Council is holding its “Annual Adopt-A-Highway and Earth Day Clean Up” on Saturday, April 19 at 11:30 a.m.The group will be meeting at the church at the corner of Weir and Pennsylvania avenues in Weirton.The clean-up area extends from the intersection of Main Street and Pennsylvania Avenue to the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and 12th Street.Camp Fire members, staff, board members and volunteers will be represented. Anyone who volunteers will receive a free ball cap. Lemonade and sunscreen will be available.The clean-up efforts are expected to take approximately two hours.Camp Fire USA is a non-profit youth organization which provides programs and activities that encourage individual growth, moral education and healthy choices for boys and girls, ages 3 to 18.
