Woodsdale Elementary School won the award of "Going Green" school of the month.

This is the seventh year the school has participated in Earth Day as students cleaned up their neighborhood around the school grounds.

Pollution and littering is a big concern for the fourth-graders who attend but they are willing and ready to keep Mother Nature beautiful by pitching the trash into a bucket.

Along with roadside trash, the group collected everything from used cell phones to used printer ink cartridges, which gives them points toward getting science materials for their own classroom.
