Belmont County Adds More Recycling Barns

Tuesday, June 24, 2008 – updated: 12:43 pm EDT June 24, 2008

Due to the overwhelming response in recycling by residents of the St. Clairsville and Barnesville areas, the Jefferson-Belmont Regional Solid Waste Authority has placed a second drop-off barn in each community.

One barn will now be for commingled items and the other for paper products. The St. Clairsville recycling drop-off barns are located on Fair Avenue at the Belmont County Fairgrounds next to the Commercial Building.

"We are very excited by the growth of recycling and would like to see that everyone is aware of the different available recycling drop-off sites and what we have to offer," said Tammy Shepherd, program director of Keep Belmont County Beautiful, a division of Jefferson-Belmont Regional SWA.
