ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio -- A new recycling location in St. Clairsville will make it much easier for people to go green.Residents are encouraged to bring paper, aluminum, jars and other items to a new recycling trailer near the fairgrounds on St. Clair Street. The project was carried out by Keep Belmont County Beautiful, a division of the Jefferson-Belmont Regional Solid Waste Authority.Tom Bottorf, interim director of the Solid Waste Authority, said the group is excited to open the new recycling trailer and hopes residents find it convenient. The recycling trailer is located at the site of the former drop-off barn, which was destroyed by fire.Residents can bring mixed paper; plastic bottles; jars #1 and #2; glass jars and bottles of all colors; and aluminum, steel or mixed metal food and drink cans.Items not accepted include Styrofoam packing, glass or plastic dishes, windows or mirrors glass, tires, toys, and televisions. For more information, contact Keep Belmont County Beautiful at 740-296-5376 or www.regionalsolidwaste.org.
