Waste Tires To Be Collected In Brooke, Ohio Counties

The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection in partnership with Brooke and Ohio County Solid Waste Authorities will sponsor waste tire collections on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Brooke County collection will be at the Brooke County Solid Waste Authority Recycling Center in Beech Bottom. The recycling center is located at the Old Windsor Coal Property about 1/4 mile south of the Wheeling Corrugating Company.

The Ohio County collection will be at the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection building at 131 A Peninsula Street in Fulton, W.Va.

The event is free to the public. There is a limit of 10 car and light truck tires per person with a wheel radius less than 16.5 inches. Tires must be off the rim. Tires from commercial establishments or businesses will not be accepted.
