Wheeling Park's Dirk Bauer and Wheeling Central graduate Zach Basich earned titles this weekend at the National High School Coaches Association Open Wrestling Championships. Bauer defeated an opponent from Alabama in the championship round 9-1. Basich picked up a 3-2 decision over a Virginia opponent. Both Bauer and Basich had defended their high school state championships this past winter. Also earning All-American status at the championships in Salisbury, Maryland:
