Coats For Kids

Posted: 10:01 am EDT June 26, 2008Updated: 3:34 pm EST November 4, 2009

Since 1993, Coats For Kids has raised more than $200,000 so children can go shopping and buy a new winter coat.

"16 years ago, we saw the need in our community with the Salvation Army. The need was greater than the supply," said WTOV9 Vice President and General Manager Tim McCoy.

In response, the station -- in conjunction with our 2009 partner, Wheeling Hospital-- will evenly distribute Coats For Kids proceeds to eight local Salvation Army units.

Donations may also be sent to:

Let's work together to make this a great winter for local kids!
