Kuwait -- 183 Soliders of the 459th Engineer Company out of Bridgeport, West Virginia are supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom in Kuwait. Many of those soliders are from the Ohio Valley.

Military Unit 459th

Specialist Dennis Moore from Barnesville says "This unit is definately ready...our motivation level is so high, it's unreal." The 459th Company's mission is to provide bridging and rafting operations to move troops, vehicles, equipment and supplies across lakes, rivers and other bodies of water.

Specialist Health Kerns from Byesville says "We have alot of good leaders and we work as a team." Even though the 459th is NOT on the front lines of battle they serve so many roles, their tasks are very challenging.

Their biggest challenge is they haven't seen their families since January. They say its excited to be in Kuwait and helping in the effort. Heather says a special message to her family, "Hi everyone, I miss you and I'm okay, I'll see you all soon."
