Angels' Kendrick Lands On DL

Thursday, August 28, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Angels placed second baseman Howie Kendrick on the 15-day disabled list Thursday with a tight left hamstring.

Kendrick left Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Oakland Athletics after feeling tightness in the hamstring running to second base on Mark Teixeira's single in the fourth inning.

He is batting .308 with three home runs and 37 RBI in 86 games for the AL West-leading Halos.

In a corresponding move, the club recalled infielder Brandon Wood from Triple- A Salt Lake.
