- One of the northernmost McDonald’s is located on the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi, Finland.- In India, customers who do not eat beef enjoy the Chicken Maharaja Mac, a chicken patty version of McDonald’s famous Big Mac.- One of the southernmost McDonald's is located in Invercargill, New Zealand, where customers often crave the Kiwi Burger, a hamburger topped with a fried egg and a slice of pickled beet.- McDonald's largest market outside the U.S. is Japan, with 3,900+ restaurants.- The oldest structure to house a McDonald’s is located in Shrewsbury, England, with one of the restaurant’s exterior walls dating back to the 13th century.- A popular favorite among McDonald’s customers in Uruguay is the McHuevo, a hamburger served with mayonnaise and a poached egg.- McDonald's first two restaurants in Turkey were actually built on different continents. The two restaurants, both in Istanbul were located on opposite sides of the Bosphorus River, which bisects the city and separates the continents of Europe and Asia.- The "McSki" is found in Lindvallen, Sweden.
