Road Problem Hurting Car Sales

Posted: 5:20 pm EST November 29, 2006

A and B Kia in Bellaire said they are losing business because of the roadway they sit on.

They told NEWS9 that being next to a coal company on Guernsey Street has always caused some dust problems that they have learned to deal with, but now the cars get even dirtier because of a water leak and potholes on the roadway.

Jeff Wojcik from the dealership said he has a solution; he will pay to have the potholes fixed if the village will just repair the water leak that is causing the extra dirty sludge.

When NEWS9 asked the village about the problem they said they are going to start searching for the leak in the coming weeks, and until they do, they are going to try to get a street cleaner down the road to keep the sludge out of the potholes.
