Both the Belmont County commissioners and the residents of Mt. Victory Road have been asking the state and the federal government for help getting a water line. Many of the residents have non-functioning wells and if there is no rain to the area they are forced to haul water to their homes several times a week. It’s a multi-million dollar project that never made it through congress in December, but they are trying again, but this time with the help of leaders like Senator Sherrod Brown. Many residents said they are staying positive and hopeful this will be the year the funding is made available for the project.
