Scientists Discuss Global Warming Effects

Top scientists around the world are meeting in Belgium to discuss the effects of global warming.

Dr. James Slater of Francisan University said there's a possibility within a couple of decades hundreds of millions of people won't have enough water, while others will be flooded out of their homes.

Scientists also said tropical diseases like malaria will spread and millions of people could face starvation.

Slater said people can help stop the effects by changing their lifestyles so they use a lot less energy.

Slater said if people use half the energy we normaly use a day they can make a difference, saving animals and themselves.

Scientist will meet in Belgium in April to discuss the topics.
