Car Rolls Down Two Embankments, Driver Killed

A 29-year-old man died in a car crash in Follansbee, Brooke County on Saturday morning.

Brooke County dispatchers said they received a call of a car driving recklessly on Route 2.

Police said the driver lost control of his Chevy Cobalt, went off the road and struck a telephone pole.

Police said the car flew about 25 feet into the air and rolled down two embankments before crashing to the ground and going up in flames.

The driver was ejected and his body was found about 60 feet away from where the car landed.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
