Deputies arrested two illegal aliens in Ohio County Tuesday at the Dallas Pike Truck Stop just off of Interstate 70.

Officers got a call around 1 p.m. about the suspected illegals and discovered the two men from Mexico were indeed illegal aliens. The two men arrested were working for a sub contractor out of Georgia doing construction on a bathroom at the truck stop.

The general manager at the truck stop says he had no idea the men were illegal, and said the sub contractor assured him the workers were legal. Prosecutor Scott Smith says if the sub contractor knew the workers were illegal, they are accountable and could be fined 1000 dollars for each worker.

Deputies arrested the two workers and contacted immigration officials.
