Glen Dale Dentist Accused Of Battering Employee

Glen Dale dentist Dr. Charles Wylie is charged with two counts of battery and pleaded not guilty to both in a pre-trial hearing Tuesday.

One of Wylie's former employees reported to West Virginia State Police in February that Wylie had gotten angry about her job performance and twisted her hand. She told police he later grabbed her shoulder in an attempt to stop her from leaving the office.

According to the police report, a trooper interviewed several of Wylie's employees who said the doctor “creates a physical and emotionally abusive environment.”

The alleged victim was in court for Wylie's pre-trial.

NEWS9’s calls to both Wylie and his attorney were not returned Tuesday.

Wylie is scheduled to appear in Marshall County court again for a motion hearing in August.
