Policy Change Eases Jamboree Wait Times

Wednesday, July 18, 2007 – updated: 11:37 am EDT July 19, 2007

For those who head to Jamboree in the Hills each year, long lines to get wristbands are simply part of the tradition.

But, this year, Ticketmaster will be scanning tickets electronically and passing out wristbands a day early in order to give attendees more time out in the action and less time standing in line.

"We're making a real effort. We want campers to come early to get banded and avoid those long lines before the show starts tomorrow," said Live Nation general manager Kelly Tucker-Jones.

Those with tickets are encouraged to head to the gate Wednesday to get a wristband and claim their spots on the hills a little bit sooner, Tucker said.

NEWS9 will broadcast our Countdown to Jamboree show live from Morristown starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday to take a closer look at the big acts taking the stage this year.
