Consumers Advised To Re-Register For Do Not Call List

POSTED: 12:02 pm EDT September 21, 2007
UPDATED: 12:27 pm EDT September 21, 2007

Since the Do Not Call registry began in June 2003, millions have signed up to keep telemarketers from calling them.

However, many don't realize that the signups only last for five years.

To keep telemarketers at bay, consumers are urged to re-register by calling 888-382-1222 or by going to www.donotcall.gov.

Telemarketers will have 31 days to remove personal phone numbers from their lists.
