Police in Wheeling arrested a Mexican woman and two men after police said they admitted to officers they were in the country illegally.

The trio was apprehended at Wheeling Island Racetrack and Gaming Center on Saturday after they allegedly tried to get into the racetrack with fake identification cards.

Police said Roda Raymondo, Diego Perez and Enrique Calel were transported to a local jail.

Some Ohio Valley residents like Brandy Burton said illegal aliens crossing the U.S. border is an issue that concerns them.

"I think it's a problem. It's a real big problem due to jobs and the fact that they work cheaper than us," Burton said.
