Belmont County deputies said they may have found the man responsible for a burglary Monday night, and for others in the area.

They think a man claiming to be Mark David Veal is responsible for the burglaries.

The brought him in to the department Monday night, after a caller reported seeing a man wandering down the street in a loin cloth.

"I've been at this for a long time, and I don't believe I've ever seen anyone in a loin cloth," Cheif Hummel said.

When they brought him in, the victims of last night's crime where also at the department. They were able to identify the shoes he was wearing as the same shoes they had reported stolen only hours before.

According to Hummel: "The initial charge was a felony two burglary."

But, the man in the loin cloth acted out in jungle ways, prompting additional charges of failure to comply and aggrivated menacing.

"He threatened that he's going to come down and kill us all with a machine gun and AK-47," Hummel said.

Deputies said they're glad he's off the streets.

"His behavior and his appearance were certainly irrational," Hummel said.
