Harrison County Teachers To Protest Thursday Night

Posted: 5:03 pm EDT September 27, 2007Updated: 5:25 pm EDT September 27, 2007

Harrison County teachers said Thursday might be their last day in class before hitting the picket lines.

At 7 p.m., teachers said they would protest outside of the school board's regularly scheduled meeting.

Wednesday night, the teachers' union and school board took part in a bargaining session, but the parties did not reach an agreement on a new contract.

The union has said teachers will go on strike Monday if they do not reach an agreement.
