HARRISON COUNTY, Ohio -- Police arrested 20-year-old Steven Fittro of Jewett on assault charges.

Police said Fittro beat a 15-year-old boy at a bus stop Wednesday morning on East College Street in Scio.

Authorities said Fittro was not permitted to be around the victim or his girlfriend because of alleged threats to their lives. A protective order on the two teens was issued on Oct. 10.

The mother of the victim said the boy will have to undergo multiple surgeries on his face because of the vicious baseball bat beating.

Fittro is in jail with bond set at $100,000.
