OHIO COUNTY, W. Va -- As the Highlands in Ohio County expands, volunteer fire departments like Valley Grove and Triadelphia are becoming concerned about how they're going to keep up with the expansion.County officials said they know the area needs to have its own emergency response on site."We're going to have some medical space. We're also going to have some garage bays in there that we hope to eventually have a fire truck and an ambulance actually onsite," said county administrator Greg Stewart.Stewart said the county is in the process of hiring an architect to design that building."That will probably take two to three months and perhaps we could start construction on that building this summer," Stewart said.As county officials plan to bring in more retail tenants, and a theme park, they're making sure to be ready for anything at anytime."There's a lot of activity and there are going to be some medical issues from time to time and we want to be prepared to handle that," he said.
