Police: Wannabe Cop Caught In Internet Sex Sting

Friday, February 22, 2008 – updated: 1:12 am EST February 23, 2008

A 20-year-old who had ambitions to go into law enforcement is getting a behind-the-scenes look, in jail.

William H. Glockner was arrested Friday at a home in Thornville, Ohio, after police said he sent pornographic images to an undercover cop posing as an underage teen.

Police said Glockner works at the Franklin County Jail, in a civilian capacity, but wanted to pursue law enforcement.

"He had told our decoy he was going to school to become a cop,” said Bethesda Police Chief Tim Zdanski. “He was going to check her out, to make sure he didn't get caught up in a predator sting,"

Glockner did get caught in a predator sting. He is now charged with disseminating harmful material to a minor, but could face more if police find anything on the computers taken from his home.

So far Bethesda police have nabbed five suspected predators with their Internet task force.
