Projects in Ohio and Marshall counties were among the 27 recipients of Stop Violence Against Women Grants awarded by W.Va. Gov. Joe Manchin Wednesday.

A total of almost $1 million was awarded for the projects.

Ohio County is receiving almost $100,000 and Marshall County received almost $40,000.

The grants provide personnel, equipment, training and technical assistance to the teams.
