They've been around for about a year and since coming together as a nonprofit group they told NEWS9 they've investigated several hauntings and ghostly happenings across the Valley.

They're called the Ohio Valley Paranormal Society and they're made up of fewer than 10 people.

One of the paranormal investigators in the group Mike Fader told NEWS9 they've investigated many different places such as homes, cemeteries and even local schools.

A founder of the group Ben McElroy told NEWS9 the society investigates paranormal activity because it intrigues them.

McElroy said they don't think what they do is strange at all, and they take most of their cases on through word of mouth.

Fader told NEWS9 anyone living or working in the Valley who believes they may be experiencing paranormal activity is free to contact them for help.
