WHEELING, W. Va. -- It's a very special accomplishment for 55 year-old David Yeager of Steubenville, Ohio as he graduated from college Friday night. He is closing one chapter of his life and beginning another as this former steel worker graduated from West Virginia Northern Community College.Yeager earned his valedictorian honors as he was one of 307 graduates from Friday evening's commencement ceremonies held at Westbanco Arena in Wheeling. After putting his sons through college, he wanted to do the same for himself and he told NEWS9 that his possibilities are endless now because he's always wanted that diploma."It's very important because it gives me choice I've never had before and by having an education I can go forward with my life," said Yeager. He accomplished something for himself, giving thanks to his family, friends and peers for never letting him give up.And he wants others to know they can do the same."It's never too late for an education. You never want to give up," said Yeager.
