Independence Hall Museum Unveiling $1 Million Restoration Project
Plans for a $1 million restoration project will be detailed by officials of the West Virginia Independence Hall Museum in downtown Wheeling Monday.The $1 million project is slated to include replacing the roof and windows, restore and replace the windows, and other interior improvements.The building will be re-pointed, which officials explained is the process of renewing the mortar joints.Several rooms will be refurbished to accommodate new and expanded exhibits, officials said.The historic hall was originally built in 1859.Stay tuned to NEWS9 and WTOV9.com for continuing coverage.
