MARSHALL COUNTY, W.Va. -- A Cleveland man allegedly swallowed crack rocks during his arrest in Marshall County and ended up hospitalized. The suspect was released from the hospital Monday afternoon, but the bizzarre story doesn't stop there. The Marshall County Sheriff said William Baker, of Cleveland, and a Powhatan Point man stole a car Friday in Bellaire, and were selling crack out of it.When deputies arrested the duo in Moundsville, they said Baker hid the drugs in his rear end, then swallowed them when deputies realized. He had to be hospitalized after consuming about six grams of crack, according to Sheriff John Gruzinskas. The sheriff said the crack is now out of Baker’s system and off the streets.“Unfortunately, this is a customer rich area for these crack dealers from out of state," said Gruzinskas.Baker is being held in the Northern Regional Jail, facing several state charges. Federal investigators are expected to step in.
