UPDATED: 7:34 pm EDT May 13, 2008

Cross Creek police responded to calls of two toddlers, barefoot and alone, for the second time in one week.

Police Chief John DiBacco said a neighbor on Ward Drive called police after seeing a 21-month-old girl and a 3-year-old boy alone outside.

DiBacco said the children got out of the house while their mother was sleeping.

DiBacco said the toddlers are safe but he is sending information to the prosecutor’s office and children’s services to see if charges will be filed.

Cross Creek police were called Thursday to investigate when a 2-year-old girl and a 3-year-old girl were found alone in a parking lot.
