The Weirton Police Department Street Crime Unit made three arrests after a routine traffic stop in downtown Weirton.

Police said they arrested two of the suspects on prescription drug charges and marijuana charges after the traffic stop.

Police said officers performed a consent search of a home on Washington Street. During the search, police found prescription drugs that they believe were being sold. Police arrested the third suspect on charges of possession of a controlled substance.
