Veterans, Rookies Already Looking Forward To Next Jamboree

MORRISTOWN, Ohio -- Even though the show hasn't started yet, both veterans and rookies agree on one thing: They're coming back to Jamboree In The Hills next year.The country music festival will start on Thursday, but fans from all over the world flocked to Morristown, Ohio, to set up camp for the three-day event.Those who have come to the festival for years said it's the fun, excitement and music that keeps them coming back.

Debbie Watson, of Darlington, Pa., said she's been coming to Jamboree for 20 years and loves to see the same people year after year, but she also likes the fact that there are fresh faces, too."The younger generation is starting to like country music. When I first started coming, you didn't see a lot," Watson said.Chris Danielson, of Warren, Pa., said he is a rookie who had to see what the Jamboree fever is all about."My buddies have been down here. They say I needed to come down and experience this whole thing," Danielson said.Jon Varner, of Wellsville, was celebrating his first year at Jamboree with his family."My sons are back from Afghanistan and said, 'I'm taking you to Jambo,' and here I am," he said.
