Saturday, July 19, 2008 – updated: 12:35 am EDT July 19, 2008

Brooke County sheriff's deputies have identified a body that was found in the Ohio River.

Chief Deputy Chuck Jackson told NEWS9 that the body is that of James Lohr, 80, of Valley Grove, W.Va.

Jackson said family members called the sheriff's department and identified the body on Friday through distinctive tattoos on the body.

Now police are on the hunt for Lohr's truck, and they are asking for the public's help.

They said the truck is a white, 1995 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck that has W.Va. plates: 9HD874.

Jackson said the department is investigating the case as a murder.

A fisherman discovered the body on Wednesday night.

Now that it is a multicounty investigation, Jackson told NEWS9 that the W.Va. State Police will take over.

Police are urging the public to come forward with any information in this case.
