STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -- Police were called to 601 McDowell Ave. Saturday night on a report of shots being fired.

Police said a man was struck in the kitchen of the home. He was transported to Trinity West Medical Center, where his condition is unknown.

One resident who has lived in the area for four months told NEWS9 she is scared and wants to move out.

"I'm not going to stay long, I want to move soon," she said. "When I looked out my window, I saw all the cops, ambulances and commotion. There was a lot of detectives, carrying bags and stuff like that in and out of the house," she said.

The investigation is being headed by the Detective Division of Steubenville. More information will be released Monday.
