Homicide Suspect Suffering From 'Severe Medical Condition'

A man accused of shooting a Marshall County postmaster to death faced a judge Monday afternoon in Zanesville.Todd Dolin, 39, is accused of shooting and killing Lua Wolverton at the Dallas Post Office on Friday. Dolin was arrested later that day in Zanesville.Lawyers representing Wolverton's family told NEWS9 that Wolverton and Dolin had a son together.Dolin appeared in court in a protective smock with shackles only around his feet. Immediately after the hearing, Dolin was taken for questioning with the West Virginia State Police.The suspect waived his right to an extradition hearing and was transported back to West Virginia, where he faces a first-degree murder charge in Marshall County.Before he is extradited, Cpl. Mike Hogan of the West Virginia State Police said Dolin was treated at a hospital. Hogan said the suspect is on suicide watch and undergoing medical treatment for "a pretty severe medical condition."An arraignment date will be set once Dolin is medically cleared.
