MARSHALL COUNTY, W. Va. -- Federal agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested three suspected illegal workers at a federal Superfund site near Moundsville Monday. The three were working for a subcontractor doing remediation work at the old Olin Chemical property. There were 14 others being investigated by the U.S. Department of Labor, according to Sheriff John Gruzinskas."It would seem there would be some sort of fail-safe since it's a federal program," Gruzinskas said. "Seems somebody wasn't watching the door here. Seems like somebody wasn't checking what they should have been checking."That job site is shut down not because of the investigation of the undocumented workers, but because the site does not have a West Virginia contractor's license.
