Drivers across the Ohio Valley said decreasing gas prices are going to help them not only at the pump, but in other aspects of their lives. In some places, stations were selling regular unleaded for $3.78 a gallon on Thursday. Other stations in St. Clairsville were at $3.80, about 10 to 15 cents cheaper than earlier in the month.

Local residents said the dropped prices will help them in other areas, like buying groceries. Many said, with the cost of other products continually rising, it's nice to be getting some relief."I'm so happy it's dropping. The only thing of it is, I'd like to see it drop as fast as it went up," said Paul Scott, of Belmont.Other drivers hoped to see prices reminiscent of years past."I'd like to see it back down to the $2 range again, but I don't think that's going to happen," said Paul Kercher of St. Clairsville. Most drivers said they aren't filling up consistently just yet and are still just buying the gas they need to get by. They said they aren't so much worried about prices rising again, but are hoping they can get even better deals soon.
