Ohio Lottery Game 'Keno' Debuts

The Ohio Lottery debuted Keno to bars, restaurants and liquor stores Monday in hopes the game will help offset projected budget deficits.

Ohio's first Keno lottery game started just past 11 a.m. Monday.

The state follows about a dozen other states with the bingo-like game. Almost 2,000 retailers have applied to the Ohio Lottery Commission to provide the game and about 800 are starting Monday.

"This gives you a little bit of action, like being at the track or playing a gambling machine, but this is going towards the schools and that's where we need the money -- in all of the schools," said Tammy Manion, a bartender at the Golden Nugget.
