Bellaire Couple Accused Of Selling Fake Morphine

Police Complete Investigation Launched In January

A Bellaire couple is facing very real charges after police said they were trying to sell bogus drugs.

Robert and Pam Merritt were arrested without incident at their home Tuesday night.

The couple had been selling pills they claimed contained morphine, police said, but the pills were not a controlled substance.

Both face charges of trafficking in drugs by selling a counterfeit controlled substance.

The undercover investigation began in January of this year, police said.
