Wintersville Jail Escapees Remain At-Large

WINTERSVILLE, Ohio -- Local law enforcement agencies continued their search Monday for two men who escaped from the Eastern Ohio Correction Center.Officials said Derek M. Kiggans and Joshua A. Brown escaped at about 5:15 p.m. Saturday.

Both men had been jailed for less than 30 days and each were being evaluated for possible placement into programs designed to curb criminal behavior.Eugene Gallo, executive director of the jail, said the pair scaled a back fence to escape.Kiggans was convicted of receiving stolen property and Brown was serving time for breaking and entering.
