Thieves Steal Thousands Of Dollars Worth Of Merchandise

Shortly after 6 Tuesday morning, thieves stole merchandise from the Pro Building Supply Company on National Road in Bridgeport.

Belmont County Chief Deputy Joseph Hummel he said the stolen merchandise has a value of nearly $7,000.

Thieves also stole thousands of dollars worth of money from the cash registers.

Power saws, pliers and roofing nail guns are just some of the merchandise taken.

Investigators said they believe thieves made their entrance through a small air unit that was kicked out of a second story window.

"I walked the perimeter, noticed a window had been broken into, the access they came into," said Jake Dull, general manager.

As investigators search for the thieves, the sheriff's office is taking their investigation to other outlets as well.

"We believe the thieves will not use that many tools, they could go to flea markets, eBay and garage sales," said Chief Deputy Joseph Hummel.

Police are asking the public for help, anyone with any information can call the Belmont County Sheriff's Department.
