Authorities Call Strip Club Fire Suspicious

Fire broke out at local strip club just outside of Weirton Thursday morning. Hancock County Sheriff Mike White said Rebecca's Gold Club was closed when the fire started.

The fire is now out but the investigation is just beginning. Authorities called the fire suspicious and asked the state fire marshal to help search for answers.

The club’s interior suffered serious damage. “It’s pretty much gutted, one half of it at least. It has a lot of smoke damage to the internal of the building,” said White.

White said the state fire marshal should arrive sometime Thursday to begin the investigation.
