WEIRTON, W.Va. -- Weirton police searched the area around the Oasis Lounge Thursday night after a report of an armed robbery.

An officer on the scene told NEWS9 the were investigating and interviewing witnesses.

Police cruisers could be seen parked outside the bar and patrolling the area around South 11th Street.

Investigators referred all further questions to police chief Bruce Marshall and declined to release any further information.
