Republicans Mull Postponing Convention Due To Gustav

Republican officials are considering postponing their national convention because of Tropical Storm Gustav.The National Weather Service predicts Gustav will hit the Gulf Coast as a hurricane early next week, the same time the Republican National Convention is scheduled to start in St. Paul, Minn.As of Thursday night, the convention was scheduled to open on time but a McCain representative said campaign officials are monitoring the situation closely.Stay with NEWS9 and WTOV9.com for continuing coverage.
