Alleged Wal-Mart Robber Threatens Security

The Steubenville Police Department arrested 27-year-old Russell Bennett of Weirton and 22-year-old Kayla Rush, of Bulger, Pa., on felony theft and robbery charges.

According to police reports, the duo went into the Steubenville Wal-Mart on Mall Drive and began shoving over $500 worth of CDs into Rush's purse then walked out.

The two were taken into custody outside of the store at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to police, Rush gave false information about her name at first and threatened to punch a security officer.

Police later uncovered a warrant out for her arrest in Washington County.

Bennett is being charged with felony theft, and Rush is being charged with robbery.

Both are expected in court at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
