Alleged Wal-Mart Robber Threatens Security
The Steubenville Police Department arrested 27-year-old Russell Bennett of Weirton and 22-year-old Kayla Rush, of Bulger, Pa., on felony theft and robbery charges.According to police reports, the duo went into the Steubenville Wal-Mart on Mall Drive and began shoving over $500 worth of CDs into Rush's purse then walked out.The two were taken into custody outside of the store at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.According to police, Rush gave false information about her name at first and threatened to punch a security officer.Police later uncovered a warrant out for her arrest in Washington County.Bennett is being charged with felony theft, and Rush is being charged with robbery.Both are expected in court at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
